Pearl's Story, the beginning
Once Upon A Time
Just outside the city,
In a cottage white
With peacock blue shutters
On all of the windows,
Which they kept open in the summer
To let in the fresh ocean breezes
And closed in the winter
When the winds grew icy and cold,
Lived two fishermen
They were brothers
One almost ten years older
Than the younger one.
And there they lived,
Year after year,
For many years,
until they were very old.
Still, they worked hard and happily;
For there was much to do.
Just outside the city,
In a cottage white
With peacock blue shutters
On all of the windows,
Which they kept open in the summer
To let in the fresh ocean breezes
And closed in the winter
When the winds grew icy and cold,
Lived two fishermen
They were brothers
One almost ten years older
Than the younger one.
And there they lived,
Year after year,
For many years,
until they were very old.
Still, they worked hard and happily;
For there was much to do.
